Hi,

Thanks for the info, Ashish.

I still could not recover from my illness and am not sure if I"ll be able to make it. I"ll try to reach out to Sanjay and see if he can make it.

I"ve started a google group for FTI Bangalore: http://groups.google.co.in/gro…..IBangalore and invited members that I found through our contacts page. I"ve posted your message in the group as well.

Thanks & Regards,

Gowtham T

Dear Karnataka Members (Sanjay, Bhanu, A R Patil ..),

Ref: mail below.

Shanthala Damle (Ref:http://positiveindianpolitics……press.com/) wants to connect with FTI"s Bangalore members. She is at the moment in US, and has been in touch with Anupam. If you read this, can you please respond here or to me on dipinder [at] gmail [dot] com so I could connect you. Or infact, directly write to her with me on the cc so I know. Cheers!

Shanthala – If you see this, please drop a post as well with any other inputs.

Thx, Cheers

Dipinder

Dipinder,

I was able to talk to Anupam yesterday and learn more about FTI. Thank you for connecting me to him.
..

Would you please connect me to FTI members from Karnataka who are currently active contributors in terms of finding leaders?
I still have a lot of questions, particularly around FTI"s overall plans for funding and targeted communication/education of voters, how individual members are planning to gain support (funding, reaching out to targeted demographics who are likely to vote for FTI when the time comes for contesting). I will also personally reach out to as many current FTI members as possible to understand more about their ideas over next few months, as I explore possibilities.

Regards,
Shanthala

Hi Dpinder,

Yes I recall that discussion. Let me copy-paste it for the benefit of all. I"m sure it will be clear to you after reading these posts.

Thanks Anubhava – Now, I could read this forum without logging in but could not find any option to post! (The "Quote and Reply", "Reply to Post" did not appear).
Your post above appears as "Anubhava, Guest" — Is there a guest login required before posting?
Can others also please test whether it is simple for someone appearing on the public forum for the first time to post (without logging in).
Cheers!

Dear Dipinder,

No guest login is needed.
The reason why you didn"t see "Quote and Reply" option was that you are a registered user and merely signed out from forum. It detects that based on a browser cookie. You would notice it still shows your name on top even when you are not logged in.
To test this feature I would suggest try to post from a different browser or better just remove your browser cookies. When it stops showing your name on top then this application cannot detect that you were a registered user and "Quote and Reply" option will appear. It took me a while to figure this out but I think it is a nice feature.

Regards.

Cheers

Anubhav – I did not find a way to post here w/o logging in. Posting now after logging in.

I remember we had a discussion regarding this earlier and it was resolved.

Just flagging – in case there is an issue again. Please check.

I have been requesting people to post their general queries here.

Is there an email id where FTI members/non-members can send emails? That could get reflected as posts in a constant thread on a forum, titled "Emails" (say).

Cheers!

Dear FTI Members,

A friend of mine requested me to post this on FTI. Please take note.

FTI-US members may want to engage in particular.

Cheers!

I want to inform you that "Develop Empower & Synergize India (DESI)", a student group of which I"m a part, is organizing an event called "Bharat Jugaad". It is an effort to encourage the Indian youth to take charge of the problems that our country is facing and there is an excellent opportunity to win prizes worth $2000 (first prize $1000) !!!

This event is open to all Indians under the age of 25. It celebrates the spirit of being proactive and contributing to the society. Eligible applicants can submit the chosen problem, its solution and implementation method in the format of their choice. The entry can be a written text (maximum 2000 words), a video no longer than 10 min, or a combination of both. DESI will review all the applications, score the entries, and the top six applicants will be awarded prizes worth $2000. The winning entries will be displayed on DESI website, and publicized in media. DESI will also try to share these ideas with as many people as possible to gather support for implementing them.

A nation is but the collective attitude of the people. I encourage you to participate and kindly pass on the message to our fellow citizens. A collective effort from our part could trigger a change, a change that could lead our country to continue in it"s stride for excellence.
